LONDON — Thomas Murray, the leading risk, information, and technology firm specialising in the banking, securities, and investment services industry, is pleased to announce the launch of Phase 2 of its Digital Asset Market Information (DAMI) service on September 7, 2026. This expansion marks a significant milestone in the firm's commitment to providing clarity and assurance within the rapidly evolving digital assets ecosystem.
As part of this second phase, Thomas Murray will expand its coverage from 17 to 28 markets. This growth is a direct result of the rigorous monitoring of 110 countries currently tracked by the firm, identifying those that have successfully established the legal and regulatory frameworks and standards for post-trade market practices necessary to meet DAMI’s comprehensive criteria.
The Phase 2 expansion will introduce detailed profiles for Brazil, Australia, Malta, France, Kenya, the Netherlands, Sweden, and Mauritius. Furthermore, Thomas Murray is enhancing its coverage of the United Arab Emirates by replacing the general UAE report with three distinct, specialised profiles for Dubai, the Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC), and the Abu Dhabi Global Market (ADGM), reflecting the sophisticated and varied regulatory landscapes within the region.
The DAMI service provides a holistic overview of how global markets are integrating blockchain and Distributed Ledger Technology (DLT) into their regulatory frameworks and market infrastructures. By analysing the integration of cryptocurrencies, deposit tokens, stablecoins, and tokenised securities, DAMI helps asset owners, managers, and intermediaries gain essential certainty regarding asset definition, classification, and the segregation protections that safeguard stakeholders in the event of bankruptcy or insolvency.
"As the demand for digital assets continues to rise, the need for institutional-grade assurance regarding the legal and regulatory frameworks governing these assets has never been more critical," said Jim Micklethwaite, Managing Director, Financial Markets at Thomas Murray. "The expansion to 28 markets reflects the global momentum toward establishing formal standards for post-trade practices, and we are proud to provide the data-driven insights necessary for our clients to navigate this complexity."
DAMI is delivered through Thomas Murray’s established Orbit Risk platform. The service continues to proactively monitor 110 markets for real-time developments, supported by an intraday newsflash service to ensure clients remain informed of the latest shifts in the digital asset landscape.
